Products from BPS Bioscience require a minimum order value above 400€
Encompassing Amino Acids: 941-1240
Applications: Useful for the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling.
Assay Conditions: Assay was performed using the BPS NSD2 Chemiluminescent Assay Kit (Cat. #53009) according to recommended protocol, with 5 µM S-adenosylmethionine on biotinylated H3 peptide-coated plates. Enzyme reaction was performed for 2 hours at room temperature.
Background: NSD2 is a histone methyltransferase that preferentially methylates Lys27 of histone H3. Isoform RE-IIBP may act as a transcription regulator that binds DNA and suppresses IL5 transcription through HDAC recruitment. Mutations in the gene for NSD2 are linked to Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome (WHS), a malformation syndrome associated with a hemizygous deletion of the distal short arm of chromosome 4, and is also associated with chromosomal translocations in multiple myelomas.
