NGF signals through the low affinity nerve growth factor receptor (LNGFR) and the tropomyosin receptor kinase A (TrkA) to activate PI3K, Ras, and PLC signaling pathways. NGF is also involved in the growth, differentiation, and survival of B lymphocytes.
