Encompassing Amino Acids: 2-370(end)

Applications: Useful for the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling.

Background: PPIases catalyze the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides and accelerate the folding of proteins. This protein has been shown to possess PPIase activity and, similar to other family members, can bind to the immunosuppressant cyclosporin A. Proposed to act as a co-chaperone in HSP90 complexes. Promotes cell viability in anaplastic lymphoma kinase-positive anaplastic large-cell lymphoma (ALK+ ALCL) cell lines. May be involved in hepatitis C virus (HCV) replication and release.

Description: Human Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase D (PPID), also known as peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase Cyclophilin-40 (CYP-40, CyP-D), GenBank Accession No. NM_005038, a.a. 2-370(end), with N-terminal GST-tag, MW 67.5 kDa, expressed in an E. coli cell expression system.
