Background: Caspase-7 along with caspase 3 and 6 form the group of effector caspases that are responsible for the cleavage of multiple substrates including the cytokeratins, PARP, alpha fodrin, NuMA and others. Caspase-7 occurs in three varient forms.Exalphas rabbit anti-human caspase-7 antibody reacts with the zymogen and with the 20-23 kDa subunit of caspase-7. Cells should be pretreated with 200 ng/ml of deoxyrubicin for one half hour. Exalphas caspase-7 antibody was generated by immunizing rabbits with the aa 186-198 of human caspase-7.
