Clone: Polyclonal
Background: The reactivity of the antiserum is restricted to transferrin as tested in immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion. A characteristic single precipitin line is obtained with normal serum which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin line with purified transferrin. In immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical assays to identify and measure transferrin at the cellular and subcellular level by fluorescent staining of appropriately treated cell and tissue substrates. In non-isotopic assay methodology (e.g. ELISA and Western blotting) to identify and measure transferrin in swine serum or other body fluids. This immunoconjugate is not pre-diluted. The optimum working dilution of each conjugate should be established by titration before being used. Excess labelled antibody must be avoided because it may cause high unspecific background staining and interfere with the specific signal.
Source: Purified transferrin isolated from pooled swine serum. Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
Specificity: Fluorescein isothiocyanate-conjugated IgG fraction of polyclonal Rabbit antiSerum to Swine transferrin.
Formulation: FITC-coupled purified hyperimmune rabbit IgG lyophilized from a solution in phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2). No preservative added
