Specificity Statement: This antibody binds mouse IL-6, a cytokine found in fibroblasts, monocytes/macrophages, T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes and a variety of tumor cells. IL-6 plays an important role in immune response, hematopoiesis, inflammation and stress response.
Application Notes (Clone): This antibody binds mouse IL-6 with a binding affinity in the nanomolar range. This antibody was used as a capture antibody in combination with 2G9 as a labelling antibody for the development of a sandwich ELISA assay for detection of mouse IL-6. This antibody pair specifically recognized mouse IL-6 in samples with a sensitivity as low as 1.56pg/mL (CN116715763).
