CloneID: SF83
Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated from the peripheral blood lymphocytes of a human patient infected with SFTSV. The PBMCs were treated with SFTSV Gc extracellular segment protein to isolate the specific hybridomas.
Buffer Composition: PBS only.
Uniprot Accession No.: A0A0B5A886
Specificity Statement: This antibody binds the severe fever and thrombocytopenic syndrome virus glycoprotein C. Severe Fever with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome (SFTS) is an emerging infectious disease caused by the SFTS virus which is transmitted to humans through the bite of an infected tick. Most patients have symptoms such as fever, low platelet count and leukopenia, and may also have symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, muscle pain, lymphatic enlargement, and bleeding. Recently, first case of human-to-human transmission of SFTS virus was reported in Japan.
Application Notes (Clone): The binding capability of this antibody for SFTSV glycoprotein C was confirmed using ELISA and SPR. This antibody was capable of neutralizing live virus in infected Vero cells with an IC50 of 29.45±12.80mg/mL. In an in vivo animal protection experiments the INFAR -/- mice which were injected with a dose of 20 mg/kg of SF83 antibody showed a survival rate of 20%. This antibody in combination with another anti-SFTSV Gn antibody SF5 was used for the generation of a bispecific antibody. In vivo experiments with bispecific antibody increased the survival rates of animals to 100% (CN114736291; PMID:28096333).
