CloneID: 67186-6
Heavy Chain modification: Fc Silent™
Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with recombinant human sST2 protein.
Buffer Composition: PBS only.
Chimeric Use Statement: This is a reformatted human IgG1 Fc Silent™ antibody, based on the original human IgG1 format, created for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
Uniprot Accession No.: Q01638
Specificity Statement: This antibody binds soluble form of human ST2 which is a member of the interleukin (IL)-1 receptor family. IL-33 is the ligand for ST2, which is involved in reducing fibrosis and hypertrophy in mechanically strained tissues. In in vitro and in vivo models, ST2L transduces the effects of IL-33, while excess sST2 or abnormalities in ST2 signaling leads to cardiac hypertrophy, fibrosis, and ventricular dysfunction. Circulating soluble ST2 concentration is believed to reflect cardiovascular stress and fibrosis. ST2 is a new cardiovascular biomarker for assessing acute heart failure and predicting the outcome of chronic heart failure.
Application Notes (Clone): This antibody was used as a capture antibody in combination with HRP labelled 67186-15 as detection antibody for the development of a double-antibody sandwich ELISA for detection of soluble ST2 in blood samples (CN105259353).
