Product Description: Guar gum is a versatile polymer for drug delivery applications. Guar gum diaplays thickening, emulsifying, binding and gelling properties, quick solubility in cold water, wide pH stability, film forming ability and biodegradability, it finds applications in large number of industries. Guar gum can be isolated from the powdered endosperm of the seeds of the Cyamopsis tetragonolobus. Guar gum can be used as an excipient, such as thickener, suspending agent. Pharmaceutical excipients, or pharmaceutical auxiliaries, refer to other chemical substances used in the pharmaceutical process other than pharmaceutical ingredients. Pharmaceutical excipients generally refer to inactive ingredients in pharmaceutical preparations, which can improve the stability, solubility and processability of pharmaceutical preparations. Pharmaceutical excipients also affect the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination (ADME) processes of co-administered drugs[1][2][3].
