Stearoyl ethanolamide is the most abundant of several fatty acid ethanolamides produced by the PLD hydrolysis of mouse neuroblastoma cell membrane phospholipids.{5307} The specific role of stearoyl ethanolamide in the cannabinergic system is still to be elucidated.
