Background: The defined antibody specificity is to the hepatitis associated antigen as tested in counterelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion against HAA positive human serum. The product does not react with normal human serum or plasma. In precipitating techniques as counteroelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony) to identify the presence of hepatitis associated antigen.
Source: The immunogen has been prepared from sera of patients with hepatitis using gel filtration Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
Specificity: Precipitating polyclonal Swine antiSerum to Human hepatitis associated antigen.
Formulation: Delipidated, heat inactivated, lyophilized, stable whole serum. No preservative added. Total protein and IgG concentrations in the antiserum are comparable to those of normal pooled swine serum. No foreign proteins added.
